Sox, a tuxedo cat, is a long haired moggy with bags of character to accompany her striking good looks.  Tuxedo cats are so called because of their prominent bicolour pattern of stark black-and-white that is reminiscent of formal wear for men; we all agree, Sox does indeed look very smart!

Adopted from Lancashire Cat Rescue with sister, Blaze (also on The Animal Talent roster), both cats live in a busy household of cat actors including other moggies and pedigree felines.  Although the duo had a rough start, they now truly live in the lap of luxury and are both now regulars on the cat show circuit as well as both having experience in film and TV work.

Tuxedo cats are evergreen in terms of popular culture; they’ve featured in soap operas and dramas in TV land for decades, in animations such as Pinnochio (2022), films such as Whistle Down The Wind and Local Hero and even music videos such as Band of Horses’ song “Crutch”.

With her incredibly long whiskers that are particularly striking against her sleek black fur, Sox strikes a figure of a wise cat; however, let it be known that she’s a really playful kitty!  Toys are her absolute favourite and she particularly enjoys her training sessions where she learns different acting skills.  Sox has bags of character and is a real asset to any film set; commanding a presence everywhere she goes.

Sox has experience in professional studios and has worked on large scale TV productions around the UK.  She copes well with the hustle and bustle of filming studios and follows instructions from her handler easily.

Coming from a multi-cat household, Sox can be booked alongside some of her housemates including other moggies and pedigrees; all with extensive professional experience.  These trained cats are suitable to work as back-ups for each other, or as featured roles.

Tuxedo cat, Sox, has beautiful yellow eyes, long and bright white whiskers and a sleeky black fur (with a white chest) that all together portray a certain elegance.  Even though Sox is a moggy, she is serene in appearance and adds a touch of class to everything she does.

With her black and white figure, she can work against any colour palette for a studio backdrop; Sox really does look striking in any environment.  Having modelling experience with a number of brands, she really shines in the studio and copes well with heavy lighting and cameras in front of her.

Sox follows instructions easily in the studio and has a great bond with her owner-handler, ensuring that confidence is high on set.  She finds it easy to adopt the necessary positional poses for working with products on branding and marketing shoots; she has worked on a number of product placement campaigns with great results.

Stunning Sox is available for any manner of stills photography shoots; with her classic black and white appearance synonymous with a typically British cat, she has an appearance that is familiar and relatable to audiences of all ages.

Sox is an experienced cat model having worked for a variety of national brands.  She is sought after in the animal modelling world because of her calm composure on set and ability to follow direction.

Sox is also experienced on the cat show circuit; achieving the high certification of Imperial Grand Master Cat with The GCCF.  Her experience with the Governing Council of Cat Fanciers proves her confidence in unfamiliar and busy environments.
