Odie the Dalmatian is a young man with a beautiful face and a kind temperament.    This adorable boy is still young and making his way in the world though he has already mastered a variety of skills suitable for filming and photography purposes.

The Dalmatian is one of the world’s best loved and most recognisable breeds.  The origins of this breed can be traced back to present-day Croatia and its historical region of Dalmatia where they were used as a hunting dog and also a carriage dog in its early days.

Dalmatians were an excellent exterminator of vermin and are strong hunters; they have been used as bird dogs, trail hounds, retrievers, or in packs for boar or stag hunting.

Their dramatic markings and intelligence have seen them take up a number of jobs for humans including circus performers, but they are perhaps best known for their role as fire-fighting apparatus escorts and firehouse mascots.  Since Dalmatians and horses are very compatible, the dogs were easily trained to run in front of the carriages to help clear a path and quickly guide the horses and firefighters to the fires.  They have always been known for their bravery.

In modern day, we still see the Dalmatian performing and they have a hit record in the movies.  The 101 Dalmatians, 102 Dalmatians and Cruella films are clearly what they’re best known for, being famous worldwide.  They’ve also appeared in films such as The Truman Show, Cats & Dogs, and the Operation Dalmatian series of films.

In addition to the breed’s stunning appearance, they are known for being friendly, intelligent, outgoing, energetic, sensitive, playful and good with children.  It’s no wonder they’re so popular and a whole host of celebrities have kept them as companions, including Paula Abdul, Gloria Estefan, Michael J Fox, Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York and Pablo Picasso.

Odie embodies all of these traits and is one of the most handsome Dalmatians we’ve seen.  He’s super cute and has bags of talent that will see him have a strong career in the modelling industry.

Odie is a lovable Dalmatian with a good level of obedience training.  He has a calm temperament and isn’t fazed by the busy, noisy filming environment.

Friendly with everyone he meets Odie is happy to work with actors and actresses of any age.  He’s also dog friendly and can work with other dogs once introductions have been made.  He shares his home with a younger Dalmatian and has been a gentle and caring role model.

Odie is best suited to working on shorter roles at this stage in his career whilst he continues his training and development programme.  He’s learning new skills all the time and even as an adolescent, his temperament is already fit for the studio.  If you’re working on a music video or a fashion commercial, Odie is the dog for you.  He will make a striking addition to the media project and will be fun to work with because he’s full of youthful exuberance.

This energetic young boy will be well suited to scenes shot outdoors where he can be filmed in action.  He loves to be on the go and playing ball is one of his favourite pastimes.  He’ll definitely work well being cast in a family setting in the outdoors, for example.

Being a confident boy, he’s also suitable for event work and can be utilised in fashion show, conferences and more.

Odie is a really sweet natured, young Dalmatian and has really beautiful patterning over his body.  His face is just adorable and he has soulful amber eyes that draw the viewers in.  His front profile is mainly white with a few black dots and this light feature softens his appearance.

He has an athletic body, true to the breed standard and Odie loves being active; this is great if you’re going for action shots and want to capture his personality.  Equally, he’s happy to pose for the camera and has a strong sit and stay.  His obedience training means he’s safe to work indoors and outdoors, on and off lead.

Odie has participated in a pet photography shoot previously and received excellent feedback.  His portfolio proves how photogenic he is.  Because of his monochrome colouring he can work with any colour backdrop and the image will be striking.

A fine example of his pedigree, Odie’s image is suitable for use in breed specific merchandising such as books, signage, apparel, calendars, mugs, stock photos and more.  Love for the breed is ubiquitous and therefore his image will also be appreciated in commercial photography for branding promotional work and more.  Odie is a lovely looking dog, sweet natured and polite.  He makes a wonderful photography subject.

As Odie is still a young man, he has yet to complete professional work, however, he has experienced a pet photoshoot and performed well in front of the camera, not distracted by flash or heavy lighting.  He is also continuing his training classes in order to build more assets for roles in film and TV.  However, he has a calm and steady temperament and know he will be reliable on set.
