Biography:

Lilo is a Qatar Persian rescue cat turned professional model in the UK.  Her incredible rags to riches story could be made into a blockbuster movie of its own, but for the time being, Lilo is more than happy to act and model as required in other roles.

Unbelievably, Lilo is a deaf cat and was rescued with loss of hearing.  She is trained with hand signals and her hearing impairment doesn’t affect her life in any way.  Lilo’s handler says that she loudest meow you ever heard from a deaf cat!

Lilo is a Classic Persian though this breed standard is often referred to by the following names: Doll Face Persian, Traditional Persian, Old Fashioned Persian, Long-nosed Persian, Old-style Longhair, Traditional Longhair and Original Longhair.

This gorgeous girl is absolutely stunning with a perfectly proportioned face and nose; even though she is a rescue cat, Lilo thankfully isn’t cursed with the BOAS condition associated with the more modern Persian extreme breeding that we sadly began to after World War II and now see on the show circuit today.

The Classic Persian breed is thought to have originated in Iran in the 1800s and they are known for their gentle disposition and quiet natures.  Lilo is all this and more; she’s sociable and affectionate and loves being close with her experienced handler.

The Classic Persian breed has been made popular by films such as Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Enter The Dragon and You Only Live Twice.  Lilo is bound for this level of star status as well; she’s such a talented, well-natured and beautiful cat that you will love working alongside.

Due to her hearing impairment, Lilo works to hand signals which is a real asset on a film set when voice cues should be avoided.  Her training ensures that she follows her cues easily and her experienced handler really knows how to get the best out of her.
