Blaze, a tuxedo cat, is a long haired moggy with the classic black and white markings we’re so accustomed to seeing as household pets here in the UK. Blaze incredibly beautiful with her long whiskers and piercing amber eyes.
Adopted from Lancashire Cat Rescue with sister, Sox (also on The Animal Talent roster), both cats live in a busy household of cat actors including other moggy models and pedigree felines. Although the duo had a rough start, they now truly live in complete luxury.
The duo are available to be booked together or as separate models; they are both now regulars on the cat show circuit as well as both having experience in film and TV work around the UK. Additionally, one can be hired as backup or understudy for the other since they are quite similar in appearance.
Tuxedo cats are evergreen in terms of popular culture; they’ve featured in soap operas and dramas in TV land for decades, in animations such as Pinnochio (2022), films such as Whistle Down The Wind and cult favourite, Local Hero. They have even music videos such as Band of Horses’ song “Crutch”. Their appearance is relatable as it’s one of the more common colour patterns we see on a day to day basis.
With her irresistible long Blaze strikes a figure of a wise and knowing cat; however, let it be known that she’s a really playful kitty! Toys are her absolute favourite and she particularly enjoys her training sessions where she learns different acting skills. Blaze has bags of character and is a real asset to any film set; commanding attention from everyone.
Blaze has experience in professional studios and has worked on large scale TV productions around the UK. She copes well with the hustle and bustle of filming studios and follows instructions from her handler easily. As with all cats, it’s useful to provide them with settling in time, meeting any actors or crew they need to work alongside and generally desensitising the environmental triggers.
Coming from a multi-cat household, Blaze can be booked alongside some of her housemates including other moggies and pedigrees; all with extensive professional experience. These trained cats are suitable to work as back-ups for each other, or as featured roles.
Tuxedo cat, Blaze, has beautiful yellow eyes, long and bright white whiskers and a sleeky black fur (with a white chest and white patches on her face) that all together portray a certain elegance. Even though Blaze is a moggy (or domestic short hair), she is serene in appearance and adds a touch of elegance to everything she does.
With her black and white figure, she can work against any colour palette for a studio backdrop; Blaze really does look striking in any environment. Having modelling experience with a number of brands, she really shines in the studio and copes well with heavy lighting and cameras in front of her.
Blaze follows instructions easily in the studio and has a great bond with her owner-handler, ensuring that confidence is high on set. She finds it easy to adopt the necessary positional poses for working with product placement on branding and commercial shoots; she has worked on a number of product campaigns with great results, modelling cat beds and bowls.
Beautiful Blaze is available for any manner of stills photography shoots; with her classic black and white appearance synonymous with a typically British cat, she has an appearance that is familiar and relatable to audiences of all ages.
Blaze is an experienced cat model having worked for a variety of national brands. She is sought after in the animal modelling world because of her calm composure on set and ability to follow direction.
Blaze is also experienced on the cat show circuit; achieving the high certification of Imperial Grand Master Cat with The GCCF. Her experience with the Governing Council of Cat Fanciers proves her confidence in unfamiliar and busy environments.
