Japanese Spitz, Peppa, is a young firecracker!  She’s a stunning example of her breed and what a breed the Japanese Spitz is.  Similar in appearance to the Pomeranian, Samoyed and American Eskimo Dog, this breed has a history all of its own and is thought to originate in Japan in the early 20th Century.  They are in the Utility Breed group; dogs that have a fitness for a purpose.

This cheeky, exuberant young dog has taken the show scene by storm and is now developing her skills as a very talented dog model.

Peppa loves to be the centre of attention and running round playing with her many toys.  Absolutely nothing fazes her; she’s a real breath of fresh air.

This fabulous looking Japanese Spitz is a real show stopper and will suit film roles that require a certain elegance; Peppa is full of sass and class!

At her young age, Peppa has been really successful in the show ring and is currently unbeaten within her breed.  Her ability to perform at these events in new, noisy environments is impressive and lends itself well to busy studio environments.

It’s always a pleasure to work with Japanese Spitz dogs on set as they are an intelligent breed that is easy to train.  Peppa is no exception and is particularly toy motivated, which makes working with her a joy, particularly when required to work with actors.  Peppa loves people, but especially children.  This is inherently a breed trait.  She’s a true family dog which makes for very cute filming opportunities.

However, don’t be fooled by her small size.  This breed is known to be fearless, particularly when protecting their family and they have a bark that is louder than you’d think!

The Japanese Spitz breed is famous for its brilliant white fluffy coat and Peppa simply shines with her teddy bear appearance.  Her lion-like mane is particularly striking and oozes style.  True to the breed standard, she has a long, fluffy tail that is characteristically carried curled over the top of her back.

Peppa is a real stunner and her white colouring lends itself particularly well to photography as she can be used against a background of a wide colour palette range.  This works so well with product placement shoots and fashion photography.

Peppa also has particularly large and soulful eyes that draw the viewer in; the almond shape is appealing and has an amiable effect.

Looking good in either urban or rural settings, Peppa is perfectly adept at her stand and stay and sit and stay; she’s able to pose in position for a good length of time and her adorable ‘head back’ pose adds to her cute appeal.  She’s a dog that’s known for her cute smile with her cheeky tongue out!

This well-travelled show dog is able to work on location or in the studio.  She can also work with other animals providing careful and monitored introductions have been made, though she prefers to work with members of her own family.  All in all, Peppa is a great all-rounder and is sure to brighten up your day.

Despite Peppa’s young age, she has already achieved so much in the show ring.  Appearing at these huge events coupled, with her increasing skills list, means that Peppa is a wonderful candidate for media work.
